Muscat: Tropical cyclone Vayu is predicted to downgrade from a cyclone to a storm, according to the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA). PACA released a weather report which stated: “The latest observations show that the cyclone Vayu moved west/north-west in the last few hours. According to numerical weather prediction, it is expected to markdown to a tropical storm and will track north/northeast-ward during the next 12 hours.” The wind speed around the centre will be around 64 - 70 knots, and the distance between the eye of the storm and Omani coasts will be 750 km.
