SalamAir, Oman's first budget airline, has launched its first flight to Tehran, Iran, on Sunday.
This is the third destination added by the airline this month, after launching flights to Riyadh and Kuwait.
Talking to Times of Oman, Captain Mohamed Ahmed, CEO of SalamAir said that he is extremely happy to be starting another destination.
"We are extremely happy and excitted about adding another destination to our network. Today we are flying to Tehran, the capital of Iran, which is a very popular destination, and this is our second destination in Iran as we have been flying to Shiraz and it has been extremely successful.” - Captain Mohamed Ahmed, CEO of SalamAir
Flights to Tehran are scheduled for take-off three times a week, with one-way fares starting at OMR51.
