Oman elected VP for 74th UN session

New York: The Sultanate was elected among other countries as Vice-President (VP) of the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly during the elections held in New York. Permanent envoy of Nigeria, Tijjani Muhammad-Bande was elected as president of the 74th UN General Assembly to replace María Fernanda Espinosa of Ecuador.
It is worth mentioning that the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly will commence from September and continue for one year.
