Oman’s natural and cultural beauty leaves DJ Pat Sharp spellbound

Muscat: Cultural and natural beauty of Oman makes it country different from others, says DJ Pat Sharp, who is in Oman for the live music event ‘Here Comes The Summer Party’.

“Oman has got a stunning natural beauty and it is a lot more cultural and this makes it stand out from others,” DJ Pat Sharp told Times of Oman in an exclusive interview.

According to Pat Sharp, who is visiting the Sultanate for the third time, Oman can be described as hot and cool.

“The weather here is hot but it is a cool place to be in to enjoy its beauty and the hospitality of the people; I am pretty happy to bring my family to this wonderful land of beauty,” Pat said.

He also advised that Oman should not to lose its natural beauty in the process of development.

Speaking about the music event to be held at Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa Ampitheater on Friday evening, Pat said, it will feature seven bands which are quite popular with the people of Oman.

“Me and Darren from Hi Fm will introduce the band to the audience and they can enjoy the style of DJ and can enjoy the weekend at its extreme,” he added.

Bands that are going to perform tomorrow at the Shangri La are 123 Orion, Live Wire, B Sharps, 50 Degree, Wadi Dogs, Nosiy Neighbours, SaborLatino.

Speaking about his experience in Oman some years back he said, “I had a fantastic time in Oman during last visit. I was really surprised to see many Omani people in the show and seeing them enjoying the night.”

“People might know me because I do a show in the radio every Friday so many people will come to meet me to say hello and to know what I do in live,” he said.

He also said that he is using the selfie in front of the crowd of Oman for his event promotions and it can also be find in his website.

According to Pat Sharp, his career has been good and he doesn’t have any regrets in life.

“My dream job with Capital radio came in 1987. I had nine wonderful years there and my boss encouraged me to be creative in making and editing jingles.

“I had great fun when I was working with Capital radio,” he asserted.

According to him radio presenting is an interesting medium because it is very personal.

He also said that he is known as child TV presenter than the adult TV presenter.

“I think I can do much better than a child TV presenter than the adult TV presenter but I didn’t really get that chance to do that,” Pat said.

“I can achieve more success in the adult TV presentation,” Pat added.

Speaking about his participation in I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here he said “I did I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in 2011. I had a wonderful experience and made some lifelong friends. I knew the Bushtucker Trials would be hard, but there’s no point going into the jungle if you’re going to be a pussycat.”

He welcomed all the people of Oman to take part in the Party which begins at 5PM.
