Building evacuated in Al Khoud after fire breaks out

Muscat: Residents of a building in Al Khoud were evacuated from their home after a fire broke out, the Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance said on Wednesday.

According to authorities, the stranded individuals were evacuated using a hydraulic crane.

In a statement inline, PACDA said: "The rescue team from the department of civil defence and ambulance in Muscat managed to extinguish a fire that broke out in an apartment building in the area of Al Khoud in wilayat Seeb.

"The building was evacuated and the stranded individuals were rescued using a hydraulic crane, without recording any injures, ” PACDA added.
