Muscat: Omani nationals travelling to Pakistan will now be able to get visas on arrival. Already in effect since May 2019, visitors can now obtain visas by accessing There are four visa categories – visit/tourist, family, work/business, and transit – which an Omani citizen can apply for. The fee for single entry in the category of visit/tourist visa is OMR10. The cost for ‘family visa’ under single entry is OMR10 and OMR15 for multi entry (one year) and OMR20 for multiple entry (two to five years). Work/business visa for single entry can be obtained for OMR39; OMR58 for multiple entry (one year) and OMR77 for multiple entry (two to five years). Transit visa for single entry is OMR5. During a visit to Oman by Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Foreign Minister of Pakistan, in January 2019, he assured that Oman will be one of the countries to receive visas on arrival. Talking exclusively to Times of Oman during his visit, Qureshi said: "Oman is high on the category. Amongst the 50 countries that will get visa on arrival, Oman is one of them.” He added that the work on ‘visa on arrival’ was in progress, and will be implemented soon. In honour of the Foreign Minister, an interactive meeting was also hosted by Ali Javed, Ambassador of Pakistan in Oman, at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex where more than 1000 community members gathered. Talking to the members and Omani citizens, Qureshi said: “Oman will be among seven such nations eligible for Multiple Entry Visas on Arrival. This single measure defines the depth our relations.”
