Bratislava: Oman Ice Sports Committee took part in the annual International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) meeting held in the Slovak Republic within the framework of the international and regional developments related to ice hockey.
The meeting included discussion on the international events and championships and the courses that will be organised by the International Federation during the next period.
The meeting also reviewed the plans and programs implemented by the member states in order to develop the sport of ice hockey and increase its popularity base.
The Oman Ice Sports Committee has been an active member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) since 2014.
The committee always has the responsibility to proceed with activating the goals and programs set by the Ministry of Sports Affairs and participation in external tournaments to raise the name of the Sultanate among the countries of the world in this sport, which is very popular among youth.
Qasim bin Talib Al Bor'ee, Supervisor of Ice Sports represented Oman Ice Sports Committee at the meeting.
