Muscat: Four governorates in Oman could experience heavy rainfall, between 30 to 70 millimetres, which may lead to overflowing wadis, the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) announced.
PACA has issued a heavy rain alert which showed the range of rainfall in some areas tonight.
In a statement, Oman's meteorology authority said, "Due to the potential thunderous climate and heavy rains that are expected to fall on Tuesday, rains in some areas will range from 30 to 70 millimetres accompanied by active winds and hailstones, which will lead to the overflow of certain wadis in the governorates of A'Dhakiliyah, Northern and Southern Sharqiyah and South Batinah."
"The Public Authority for Civil Aviation would like to warn the public to take caution during thunderous rainfall, not to cross any wadis, avoid low areas, and do not sail," PACA added.
