Ministry balancing needs of local fish market and exports

Muscat: The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries is working on balancing the need for fisheries products in local fish markets and exports in cooperation with firms operating in the industry.
Dr. Ridha Amran, Director General of Fisheries marketing and investment at the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries said that the Ministry has commenced with execution of the annual fish products programme from May 5 to August 5, 2019 for fish marketing at the local fish markets.
“The ministry is working to ensure availability of fish products at affordable prices at the local markets and to limit the hike in fish prices” he added.
