Sale of more than 1600 water bottles put on hold

Muscat: The Rustaq municipality has temporarily stopped the sale of more than 1600 bottles of water as a precaution.

In a statement, the Southern Batinah Municipalities said, "Rustaq Municipality has reserved 1,650 packed bottles of water as a precaution to ensure their suitability for human use."

The water will now be tested for quality before a decision is taken on their sale.
