Twelve houses in Mirbat repaired by Dar Al Atta’a

Muscat: At a cost of more than OMR90,000, Dar Al Atta’a has delivered 12 houses in Wilaya Mirbat which were affected by the Mekunu cyclone last year.
In July 2018, Dar Al Atta’a announced the “Together for Oman” campaign, which continued until the end of 2018, to renovate the houses affected by the climatic conditions of Mekunu in the Wilayat of Mirbat.
In the aftermath of the cyclone, the association visited the Governorates of Dhofar and Al Wusta governorates during which it inspected a number of damaged houses and families in a number of wilayahs to assess the damage caused by the cyclone.
A total of OMR92,985 was spent on renovating the 12 houses, which comes within the association’s disaster relief programme.
The association has approved the maintenance, renovation and furnishing of 40 houses in Wilayat Mirbat. Work on the remaining houses will begin soon.
This campaign has shown how citizen, residents, institutions and members of the association are devoted to helping individuals affected by the weather conditions, as it has received widespread support throughout the Sultanate to contribute in the reconstruction of the damaged houses.
