Oman Air to cancel over 500 flights

Muscat: Oman Air, the Sultanate’s national carrier, has announced the cancellation of 574 flights until 31 May, following the continued suspension of operations of the Boeing 737 MAX airliner.

A statement from the airline said: “Dear valued guests, as a result of the Public Authority for Civil Aviation directives on suspending operations of the Boeing 737 MAX, certain flights until 31stMay to a number of destinations have been cancelled.”

The most common flights cancelled are those to and from Dubai International Airport, with 106 flights to and from Dubai cancelled over the next month.

Other routes impacted are flights from Muscat to Riyadh, Nairobi, Salalah, Tehran, Kuwait City, Manama, Colombo, Dammam, Milan and Karachi.
