The new hypermarket at the Mall of Muscat is spread over an area of 230,000 square feet and is situated in the prime location of Mabela. “We are glad to have launched our 23rd store in Oman”, Yusuf Ali told Times of Oman. “The launch strengthens our reputation as the fastest growing retail chain in the region. “The opening of the new hypermarket is not just part of our ambitious plans to rapidly expand our foothold across the globe but also a reflection of our commitment towards the community.”
“This latest project in Mall of Muscat marks a significant step in our journey in Oman. As a fast-developing destination, the country has always presented an extremely attractive investment opportunity for us.
“The new store will generate employment opportunities for talented youth in the country.

“Currently we have 2,500 Omani nationals working at our branches in the Sultanate, and by the end of this year, 2019, we will reach up to 3,000-3,500.
However, we are hoping to employ 5000 Omani nationals by 2022. With the opening of three branches this year and between three to five branches next year, we will hopefully be able to achieve this target,” said Yusuf Ali. Commenting on the new hypermarket, Ananth A.V, Director – Oman, Sri Lanka and India of Lulu Group, said: “We are pleased to be a part of the newest land mark in Oman, the Mall of Muscat.
The retail market in Oman is vibrant and we are always looking for new ways to provide our customers with the latest shopping experience.
We have planned incredible offers on a wide range of products for our customers as part of the opening period.” The hypermarket showcases a fresh food section, consisting of a wide assortment of fruits, vegetables, dairy products, poultry, meat and fish, and a hot food and bakery section.
The hot food counter has a designated area in front for customers to dine with family and friends. There are also separate sections for garments, electronics, stationery and home appliances.
