Jeddah: Sheikh Badr bin Ali Al Rawas, Board Member of Oman Olympic Committee, took part in the emergency meeting of the General Assembly of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation held yesterday morning in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The meeting recommended Prince Abdul Aziz bin Turki Al Faisal, Board Chairman of Saudi Arabian National Olympic Committee, to be the President of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation for the period 2019 – 2020 to succeed Turki bin Abdul Mohsin Al Al-Sheikh, who has recently resigned.
The meeting reviewed a report presented by Mohammed bin Saleh Al Qarnas, Secretary General of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation, on the ongoing preparations for the organisation of the 5th Islamic Games scheduled to be held in Turkey in 2021.
