Muscat: Indian Social Club Oman – Awadhi Wing hosted its first cricket tournament APL- 2019, powered by Al Yam Enterprises. The tournament was played recently at Al Hail Cricket Ground Mabelah.
The exhibition match was played between Indian Ambassador XI and ISC Chairman XI and Indian Ambassador XI won the tournament. The toss was won by Indian Ambassador XI. Batting first, Ambassador XI scored 87 for 4 in 10 over. The notable scorers for Ambassador XI were Iqbal 32, Samir 22 and Munu Mahawar 12. For ISC Chairman XI, Kapil and Madhu took 1 wicket each. In reply, ISC Chairman XI fell short of target by 6 runs. For ISC Chairman XI, Kiran scored 17 and Sai scored 16 runs. Man of the match was given to Sameer of Ambassador XI. Best batsman prize was given to Iqbal of Ambassador XI and Best Bowler prize was given to Kapil of ISC Chairman XI.
The champion’s trophy was handed over to Indian Ambassador XI by Ramesh Vishwanathan of W.J.Towell and the Runners-up trophy was handed over to ISC Chairman XI by Samir Rao General Manager of Altes. The officials of the match were Sadik, Manas Kapoor, Sai Chaudhary, DN Mishra, Shital Kumar and Madhulika Gupta.
