ROP airlifts seven people stuck in mountain in Ibri

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) rescued seven people stranded at a mountain in Ibri, according to a statement released by the ROP.

An online statement by the ROP read, "Police aircraft forces execute a rescue mission for seven citizens who had gotten stranded at al Mazim Mountain in Ibri."

The ROP added that it "advises everyone to not venture out onto mountains and difficult terrain unless they are not physically fit and have the know-how to navigate through the area. It is necessary to own all needed safety equipment."
