Artificial intelligence is expanding exponentially, said Chancellor Angela Merkel at the opening of the Hannover Messe trade fair.
“We must think European here, and ensure that an enabling environment is in place,” said Merkel.
“Companies have to adapt and change to stay competitive in our strong economy,” she added.
A real 5G network will be installed in one of the exhibition halls on around 1,5000 square meters, in which concrete showcases will be presented in real operation.

The fair is showcasing a number technological innovations including a 5G network, collaborative robots, a smart factory and robotic process automation among others.
