Five expats arrested for theft in Oman

Muscat: Five expats have been arrested for theft in Oman, Royal Oman Police (ROP) has announced.

Police revealed that the accused were Asian expats.. However, no information on their country of origin was made available.

According to officials, arrests were made at “oil concession areas” in Oman.

In an online statement, ROP said, “The Criminal Investigation of the oil and gas installation security police managed to arrest five expats for stealing at concession areas.”

It added, “Legal actions are being taken against them.”
