Muscat student bags top honours in IAME X30 Series

Dubai: Muscat-based seven-year-old ISG student Shonal Kunimal continued his winning streak with the 18th win of the season and took the top honours in the fifth round of the 2018-19 IAME X30 Series in the bambino class (5-8 years old) at Dubai Kartdrome recently.
Shonal’s passion towards go-karting race and hard work led him to secure top spots in all the five races in 2018 / 2019 IAME Series.
In the first trail, Shonal Kunimal won with a lap time of 1m:14.638s and followed by Lennard Titica (Bulgarian racer) by 1m:15.334s and Nicholas Stura (Italian racer) by 1m:16.372s in Dubai Kartdrome Circuit.
In the second race, Shonal won with a lap time of 1m:14.446s and followed by Nicholas Stura (Italian racer) by 1m:15.751s and Lennard Titica (Bulgarian racer) by 1m:15.801s in Dubai Kartdrome Circuit.
In the third and final time-trail Shonal timed 1m:14.964s to grab the top spot. He was followed by Lennard Titica (Bulgarian racer) by 1m:15.288s and Nicholas Stura (Italian racer) by 1m:15.888s.
Later Shonal said: "I would like to thank WMS (Al Wahaibi Motor Sports) for supporting me at the championship and to the Coach Sanad Al Rawahi. Also Shonal thanked GPX academy for their support."
Shonal’s next race will be on 22rd of April, the 6th and final round of the IAME X30 series Championship.
