Three expat women arrested for detaining, extorting a citizen

Three African women were arrested by police on a charge of detention and extortion of a citizen, the Royal Oman Police has revealed.
According to the ROP, the three women entered the Sultanate on a tourist visa.
“Three women of African nationality, who were luring a citizen to their place and detained him, then forcefully tried to engage him in prostitution, in order to photograph him in inappropriate situations for the purpose of extorting." – Royal Oman Police
Police noted that the behaviour of these women was a new criminal tactic that targeted young people using social media to blackmail and extort money from them.
