Muscat: 60 per cent of the Dhabab resort in Qurayyat has been completed, the government announced.
Construction on the five-star resort is set to be completed by the first quarter of 2020.
"The percentage of completion in the project of the resort of Dhabab in Wilayat Qurayyat has reached about 60 per cent. The project is an integrated 5-star tourist resort and is expected to be completed in the first quarter of next year 2020," Oman News Agency said.
The resort which is located halfway between Muscat and Sur, will have direct access to the long beach of Dhabab.
The management and operation agreement between the Dhabab Resort and Meliá Hotels International was signed on Friday, March 22 at the site of the resort's construction in the Wilayat of Qurayyat under the patronage of HE Ahmed bin Nasser Al Mehrzi, Minister of Tourism.
The agreement was signed by Abdul Razak bin Ali as the partners' representative and Benjamin Obel, development manager of the Melia Group.
