Get a prominent makeover with a new hair colour

The best way to get a pretty prominent makeover is with a new hair colour. Here’s our guide to the trending shades of the season.

Streaks of silver – Guess the latest trends aren’t pro to saying bye-bye to greys. Ladies are embracing their greying hair and showing it off elegantly. What’s more, some are even dyeing it silver to keep up to the trends.

Lovely lilac – If the millennial pinks were too bright for you, you’d be relieved with this pastel shade of lilac taking over this year. We aren’t going to deny it’s a wee bit high-maintenance, but the colour is a definite head turner. And the best part is it doesn’t look too over the top even if you dye it from root to tip.

Rose gold – Yes, you guessed it right! This colour isn’t going anywhere. From phones to jewellery, this beautiful shade has made its mark even in hair colours. Honestly, who doesn’t like a rosy blonde?

Ashy brunettes – Everyone’s raving about ashy tones this year, but this brown definitely scores above all. What makes it different is that it’s conservative, yet trendy. Plus, there’s something really fresh about this colour.

Jet black – And by that, we mean black as ebony (just like they say in ‘Snow White’). No streaks of blonde, no blazing red ends and no brunette hues – just plain black. It works as a surprisingly beautiful contrast to pale skin and compliments darker skin tones equally well too.

Mushroom blonde – Let us explain this fascinating shade. It’s basically a cool-toned very natural brown shade that’ also got a hint of blonde. This newly discovered shade lets blondes flaunt a deeper shade of golden and brunettes to sport a naturally lighter tone. It’s almost magical!

Living coral – Well, it is the ‘colour of the year’ after all. This peachy blonde shade looks absolutely stunning on those with naturally light hair. Beach waves are a bonus.

Dusty copper – If you love reds, but your colleagues think it’s a bit too fiery for the formal workplace, switch to a shade of dusty copper. It’s a more sober variant but no less chic.
