State Council Chairman receives Pakistani Senate delegation

Muscat: Dr. Yahya bin Mahfoudh Al Manthri, Chairman of the State Council received in his office yesterday a delegation of the Pakistani side in the Omani-Pakistani Friendship Committee between the State Council and the Pakistani Senate.
The delegation is led by Meer Kabir Ahmed Shahi.
The meeting reviewed means of enhancing cooperation between the Sultanate and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, particularly in the parliamentary areas. The meeting was attended by a number of officials from both sides.
Meanwhile, the Friendship Committee between the State Council and the Pakistani Senate held an official session of talks as the Omani side was chaired by Eng. Majid bin Said Al Rawahi, Head of the Omani side in the Committee, whilst the Pakistani side was chaired by Meer Kabir Ahmed Shahi, Head of the Pakistani side in the Committee.
The session reviewed aspects of cooperation between the two friendly countries as the two sides stressed the importance of the friendship committee’s role in enhancing this cooperation in various areas.
