Symposium discusses health insurance for private sector in Oman

Muscat: As the Sultanate prepares for implementation of the health insurance scheme for private sector employees and visitors to the Sultanate, the Capital Market Authority will organise an Arab symposium on the implementation of health insurance and challenges in collaboration with the General Arab Insurance Federation under the patronage of Sheikh Abdullah Salim Al Salmi, Executive President of the Capital Market Authority from March 17-18 at the Sheraton Hotel Muscat.
The symposium will include working sessions with the participation of elite speakers in the field of health insurance on topics such as Dhamani Health Insurance Scheme, implementation methods, digital transformation of health insurance through electronic developments and medical coding systems.
There will be presentations on investment in health insurance, future opportunities for health insurance operators as well as a presentation on the experiences of Arab countries in the implementation of health insurance and lessons learned.
The symposium will also include working papers and presentations on the future vision of health insurance, the regulatory role in ensuring the rendering of high quality health services and encouraging investment in the private health services sector.
Discussions will also take place on harnessing the considerable advancement in quality standards and information security through acquaintance with the models of a number of countries in the area of health insurance.
