Expatriate workers in Oman should follow a number of 'significant general guidelines' to ensure their rights, says the Ministry of Manpower.
The ministry recently put up a video that illustrates these guidelines, informing expat workers of what they are entitled to while working in the Sultanate.
“If you did not get one of your rights or faced an issue, such as the delay of your monthly pay, you may file a complaint against the employer through the website of the ministry.” - Ministry of Manpower
The guidelines included rights to a labour card, the ability to settle disputes, and the right to a monthly wage and overtime rates.
