Majlis poll panel takes stock of preparations

Muscat: The Higher Committee for Majlis Al Shura 9th Term Elections held its second meeting at the Committee’s headquarters yesterday under the chair of Dr. Khalifa bin Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Hadhrami, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court, Chairman of the Committee.
The meeting reviewed and approved minutes of the previous meeting, and discussed a number of topics on the agenda, including the electronic programmes to be used in the upcoming elections.
The Committee expressed its satisfaction with the progress of the procedures followed during the period of submission of nomination applications for Majlis Al Shura, which ended on February 21.
It valued the role of the Ministry of Interior in facilitating such procedures.
