Sur Al Hadid Beach Carnival begins in Oman

Muscat: The much-awaited Sur Al Hadid Beach Carnival kicked-off at Seeb beach in Muscat governorate.
The carnival which concludes on March 9 is open to visitors from 3pm to 12am.
In a statement issued by the Muscat Municipality said: "Sur Al Hadid Carnival includes, an area for restaurants and cafes, shopping corner, entertainment shows, sports competitions and beach games."
The first-ever beach event in Oman is jointly organised by Muscat Municipality, Ministry of Tourism and Oman Tourism Development Company (Omran), as part of an initiative to boost domestic tourism in the country.
The carnival managed by Muscat Eat, host 70 home-grown brands, food trucks and popular brands with various food items and refreshments. These will include delicious Omani food freshly made by local home businesses from Seeb community. The outdoor market will also feature a selection of gifts, perfumes, jewelleries, and different items for families. Apart from this, a wide-range of water sports events including jet skiing, banana boat riding and Kayaking will be held in the coming days. A beach volleyball tournament will be hosted by Al Seeb Club.
