New book showcases Oman’s achievements, opportunities

Muscat: A book highlighting the achievements of the Sultanate in diverse fields under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said has been released.
The book titled “The Sultanate of Oman: An Oasis for Peace and a Promising Hub for Investment: Vision and Assessment of International Organizations to the Omani Development March 2018”, has been released by the Oman News Agency (ONA).
It contains the most prominent reports issued by specialised international institutions and organisations on the achievements of the Sultanate in many fields of development.
It provides readers with an assessment of the vision of distinguished reliable European, American and Asian institutions and organisations at regional and international levels of the development achievements of the Sultanate in a professional and transparent image, according to scientific rules and indicators applied to different countries over the past months. The organisations include the World Bank, the World Economic Forum - Davos, the Heritage Foundation, Forbes Magazine, the BBC and many Asian, European and American research centres, which classify countries according to the development achievements of the state on objective, systematic and clear grounds.
The book covers the period from October 2017 to November 2018, including 55 indicators and reports in which the Sultanate has achieved advanced positions and touching on many aspects of importance and significance, whether at all levels of economic, trade, investment, logistics, tourism, education, environmental fields or the level of the Sultanate’s security and stability that makes it an oasis of peace and tranquility in a region that is facing many challenges.
This book comes within the framework of ONA’s vital media role as the official agency for news and stances of Oman on one hand, as well as the open window through which the world can look at the ongoing development efforts within the framework of the modern Omani Renaissance led by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.
It also comes to enable the Omani citizens to follow up what is going around them at the Gulf, Arab and international levels.
The book is part of a series of books published by ONA, in cooperation with the Omani publishing houses about some of its growing activities. It includes a series of regional and international reports and viewpoints on the Omani development efforts over the recent months.
The new book provides an opportunity for those interested inside and outside Oman, as well as the Omani citizens to follow up the national development efforts at all levels and to view the trends and indications contained in the reports in both Arabic and English.
