Use coffee in your beauty routine

Days don’t start without a mug of coffee, right? But there is just so much more to this morning elixir. Here are six ways to use it in your beauty routine.
Fight cellulite – Yes, you heard that right! There is a reason coffee is such a popular ingredient in anti-cellulite creams. Coffee tends to draw away fluids from fat cells; therefore, dehydrating them and temporarily making them shrink. On the surface, the area starts looking tightened. Talk about magical treatments.
Treat inflamed skin or sunburns – Coffee has chlorogenic acid (CGA) as well as melanoidins which help to not only reduce inflammation but also target hyper-pigmentation. Brew a fresh cup of coffee and then dilute it with ice cold water. Soak a cloth in the concoction and gently dab on affected areas.
Fight acne – Just because your doctor told you to reduce your intake of coffee doesn’t mean you can’t still apply it topically. Coffee has anti-inflammatory properties, so a mixture of coffee grounds with a pinch of turmeric and olive oil will help to tackle those problematic outbreaks.
Reduce dark circles and puffy eyes – If someone told you that coffee can keep you up all night, you have coffee relieving those dark circles and puffiness too! According to research, the caffeine in coffee helps to dilate blood vessels that are responsible for dark circles. The caffeine also restricts blood flow to the area, thereby reducing the swelling. Simply wrap some spent coffee grounds in a paper towel and place it over your eyes.
Hair care – The antioxidants in java also help to strengthen hair, give it a shine and even stimulate growth. Not to mention, there’s an undeniable sweet smell of coffee that just adds to all the other qualities.
Foot scrubs – Give your feet a relaxing foot spa with a nice coffee scrub. It’s not as harsh on the skin as other scrubs but effectively exfoliates skin, sloughing away dead skin cells, dry skin and impurities. Simply mix it with some Dead Sea salt and your favourite essential oil and you’re good to go.
