Civil Service Council holds review meeting

Muscat: The Civil Service Council held its first meeting for 2019 under the chair of Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal bin Saud Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Chairman of the Civil Service Council.
The Council reviewed a report on the follow-up of the measures taken to implement the decisions and recommendations made at the Council’s fourth meeting in 2018.
The Council discussed a number of topics that included reviewing some provisions of the executive regulations of the Civil Service Law.
Further, the Council reviewed some topics related to different functional aspects, which contribute to achieving the objectives of the governmental units, applying the Civil Service Law, and regulating the mechanisms of implementing the terms of reference of those units according the organisational structure of these units.
The Council also reviewed the results of the work of the committees for the purpose of studying a number of topics related to the situation of employees in civil service units. Additionally, the Council reviewed a number of other topics on its agenda, which were received from various ministries and government units and took appropriate decisions and recommendations on their regard.
