Municipality destroys food unfit for consumption

Muscat: The municipal authorities has destroyed 33kg of food stuff unfit for human consumption in the Muscat governorate.
Muscat Municipality in a statement said, "The Food Control Department at Directorate General of Bausher carried out an inspection visit to 5 restaurants to Ghala industry area to ensure that they comply with the health requirements in the provision of food."
"The visit resulted in the release of a violation, the destruction of 33kg of food stuff unsuitable for human consumption, and the confiscation of 40 pieces of pots," the municipality added.
