Oman tennis tournament winners honoured

MUSCAT: The first monthly Oman tennis tournament organised by the Oman Tennis Association (OTA) was held from February 14 to 16 at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex.
There were more than 80 participants in the event with the category 7 and under (mini tennis), under-10, under-12, under-14, under-16 and under-18 boys and girls where the top 2 from each category were honoured by the guest of honour Suleiman bin Salim Al Kindi, the general manager of information technology from the ministry of higher education, Khalid Al Adi, the president of OTA and Salman Al Balushi, the Executive Manager of OTA.
The final of the U-18 boys was played between Isa Al Suleimani and Ali Al Busaidi before the prize distribution in which Isa won the match with 6-3,0-6,7-5. However in the under-16 girls.
Results: 7 & under (mini tennis): 1st place : Aarush Pandey, 2nd place: Talia Al Busaidi, 3rd place: Aisha Al Busaidi, 4th place: Talia Al Rawahi.
Under-10 boys: Ahmed Al Hinai secured his trophy by defeating Riddish Mane 10-7, 10-2
Under-10 girls: Rita Malakhova defeated Polina Brown 10-7,10-2. Under-12 boys: Charlie Sennhauser overcame Aditya Pandey 2-6, 6-4, 7-5
Under-12 girls: Aisha Al Busaidi thrashed Kira Malakhova 9-6.
Under-14 boys: R.Rudrakrishna overcame Isa Al Suleimani 5-7,7-6,7-5.
Under-14 girls: Kaavya Jayakumar defeated Kira Malakhova 6-4,4-6,7-5.
Under-16 girls: Saffanah Al Riyami defeated Kavvya Jayakumar 6-2, 6-2.
Under-18 boys: Issa Al Suliemani thrashed Ali Al Busaidi 6-3,0-6,7-5.
