Valentine's Day treat with red eats

A sweet pairing of soda and grenadine, lady in red is a must have this Valentine’s Day,
• 1/4 cup 7UP
• 1-1/2 tbsp grenadine syrup
• Ice
• Maraschino cherries, for garnish
•Mix together 7UP® and grenadine syrup.
• Pour over ice.
• Top with cherries.

This red lamb curry is cooked with an overload of chillies and is from Rajasthan. Here is a milder and quicker version of the same.

• Lamb – 700g
(cut into medium pieces)
• Yoghurt– 1/4 cup
• Kashmiri chilli powder – 3 tblsp
• Coriander powder – 1 tblsp
• Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
• Cinnamon -1/2 small stick
• Black cardamom – 1
• Bay leaves-2
• Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tblsp
• Ghee – 4 tblsp
• Pinch of garam masala powder
• Onion – 1/2 kg -thin slices

•Marinate the lamb pieces along with the yoghurt, ginger -garlic paste, chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala in a bowl. Mix well and set aside for about an hour.
• Season with salt to taste.
•In a pressure cooker, heat ghee and add cinnamon, bay leaves and black cardamom. Now add the onions and saute the onions till light golden.
•Add the marinated lamb pieces and cook till the oil seperates and the spices coat the lamb well.
•Add some water so that the spices do not burn.
•Pressure cook on medium heat for about 10 minutes till the lamb is cooked well.
•Serve hot with rotis or steamed white rice.

A quick dessert with red velvet cake made in a microwave so that you can enjoy your day without spending your whole day in the kitchen.
• 2 tbsp butter
• 1/4 cup red velvet cake mix
• 2 tablespoon cocoa powder
• 3 tablespoon milk
•1 packet of readymade vanilla
pudding mix
• Whipped cream for topping
• Strawberry pieces for decoration

•Grease one large microwave-safe mug with butter. Whisk together cake mix, cocoa mix and milk in small bowl until blended.
•Place batter in mug. Microwave on High 1 minute to 1 minute 30 seconds or until set. Cool slightly. Crumble cake into small pieces.
•Prepare vanilla pudding as per package instructions.
•Take 4 serving cups. Top with half of crumbled cake pieces. Repeat with remaining pudding and cake pieces. Refrigerate for an hour.
•Top with whipped cream and strawberry pieces just before serving.

A simple spaghetti with a twist of red pesto! This delicious recipe is made in a jiffy provided you have all the ingredients ready.

• 1 cup spaghetti
• 1 cup sun dried tomatoes
• 5 tbps of olive oil
• 3 garlic cloves
• 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
•1/4 cup fresh parsley leaves
• handful of pine nuts
• 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
• Salt and pepper as per taste
•Cook the pasta as per package instructions.
•Blend the sun-dried tomatoes along with oil, garlic,pine nuts, basil and parsley in a food processor and emulsify.
• Transfer the mixture to a large bowl.
• Stir in the Parmesan.
• Add the pasta to the pesto, toss to coat.
• Season with salt and pepper.
