Minister discusses health sector issues with WHO officials

Muscat: Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Saidi, Minister of Health received yesterday a team of the World Health Organisation (WHO) .
During the meeting, they reviewed aspects of cooperation between the Sultanate and the World Health Organisation (WHO), the objectives of visit to the Sultanate, including conducting analysis for aspects of health expenditure in the Sultanate, to identify ways of enhancement of financial resources for health sector among other objectives.
The programme of the team includes visits to a number of government institutions such as the Ministry of Finance, the Supreme Council for Planning and the Capital Market Authority among other institutions.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Akjemal Magtymova, representative of the WHO in the Sultanate, the ministry’s undersecretaries and a number of officials at the Ministry of Health.
