Cairo: The Sultanate reaffirmed its support for the Republic of the Sudan and the efforts of the Arab League and the Arab Parliament for removing the name of the Sudan from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism.
Khalid bin Hilal Al Ma’awali, chairman of Majlis Al Shura said in a speech at the Arab Parliament Conference for Arab Leaders, during the session designated for this purpose that Sudan has played a distinguished role in enhancement of the joint Arab action and the people of the Sudan are peace-loving and keen for security and refrain from violence and terrorism.
He also reaffirmed the Sultanate’s keenness for the unity, security and stability of Sudan.
He said that the meeting comes in implementation of the resolution taken at Jerusalem Summit held in Riyadh , KSA in April 2018.
To this effect, Al Mawali reaffirmed the Sultanate’s support to the brotherly people of Palestine in their right for establishment of their state with Eastern Jerusalem as its capital.
Al Mawali also reaffirmed that all forms of terrorism are not acceptable and to this effect, he said the Sultanate has clear principles established by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.
