Differently-abled persons hold forum in South Al Batinah

Muscat: A group of differently-abled persons in South Al Batinah Governorate organised a special forum attended by some 60 men and women from different states of the Sultanate.
“The forum was an opportunity to showcase the talents of the disabled and open up areas for discussion and the exchange of experiences,” Abdullah Al Balushi, a member of the organising team, said.
The forum witnessed a number of competitions and activities, as well as a panel discussion to debate over some of the challenges and difficulties that wheelchair users face, such as the lack of private toilets in some public places and mosques, and finally, to review some of the success stories, talents, and skills of the participants. “I would like to thank the organisers for their efforts in ensuring the success of the event,” Saud Al Siyabi said.
