17 expats arrested for selling, storing diesel illegally in Oman

Muscat: A total of 17 expats have been arrested for storing and selling diesel illegally, Royal Oman Police (ROP) has announced.
The accused, police revealed, were expats of “Asian nationality”. However, no information on their country of origin was made available.
According to officials, the arrests were made at “oil concession areas” in Oman.
In a statement online, ROP said, “The Criminal Investigation of the oil and gas installation security police managed to arrest 17 expats of Asian nationality for selling and storing diesel illegally at concession areas.”
ROP added, “Legal actions have been taken against the accused.”
