Low pressure weather system to bring rains across Oman

Muscat: A low-pressure weather system will bring rains across Oman from today, according to the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA).
The authority issued a weather report regarding the forecast in the Sultanate from February 3 to 6. In a statement, PACA said, “The latest weather charts of the National Multi-Hazard Early Warning Centre indicate that the Sultanate will be affected by a trough of low-pressure system starting from Sunday, February 3, until Wednesday evening, February 6, 2019.”
“The weather is expected to be cloudy to partly cloudy over the governorates of Muscat, Musandam, Al Buraimi, Al Dhahirah, North Batinah, South Batinah, Al Dakhiliyah, North Al Sharqiyah, and South Al Sharqiyah. There are also chances of isolated rain and occasional thundershowers associated with fresh wind and hail. The sea state is expected to be moderate to rough along most of Oman’s coasts,” PACA added.
The authority advised the public to take precautions during the rain and to watch the flow of the wadis, as well as to check the sea conditions before sailing and to keep monitoring official weather bulletins.
