Omanis to soon receive visa on arrival in Pakistan

Muscat: Omani nationals travelling to Pakistan will soon be able to get visas on arrival in Pakistan, Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi, the country’s Foreign Minister has said.
Qureshi, who is visiting Oman for the first time in nine years, said that the Sultanate is one of the top 50 countries that are being considered for visas on arrival Pakistan.

Talking exclusively to the Times of Oman about the new visa regime that allows 175 countries to apply for e-visas and 50 countries that are eligible for visas on arrival in Pakistan, Qureshi said: "Oman is high on the category. Amongst the 50 countries that will get visa on our arrival, Oman is one of them.

“This is a new liberalised visa regime that we have put in place and the idea is to promote people to people contact, investments in Pakistan, and to promote tourism. Pakistan is a country which has such rich heritage. Come and see the north - the mountains are phenomenal; come and see the Gandhara heritage.”

He added that the work on ‘visa on arrival’ is in progress and will be implemented soon.
