Muscat: This year’s Muscat Festival has attracted a huge number of people with its acrobatic performances being held at Naseem Garden and Amerat Park. Bigger and better than before, the festival has welcomed more than 457,000 visitors until Friday January 25, 2019, and the number is constantly increasing. Talking to Times of Oman, Fatima Al Mundhari, an interior designer in Muscat, said the acrobatic performance at Naseem Garden has completely blown her mind away.

“This is my third time attending the festival as previously I was doing my diploma in London and never got the chance to be part of such a happening festival in Oman. I am honestly blown away by the acrobatic performance at Naseem Garden as this is definitely on an international level. All the groups that performed were exceptional but the one from Kenya is my favourite of all. I am already planning to come again next week with my cousins to watch them and others perform,” Al Mundhari said. She added that she is glad and thankful to the authorities for organising such high-level events for the entertainment of people.

Another Omani family at Amerat Park said that they have come all the way from Buraimi to watch the acrobatic performance as they thoroughly enjoyed it last year.
“We came straight to the venue from Buraimi although the drive is roughly about four hours including the traffic and quick-snack-stop. Last year when we attended the festival, we thoroughly enjoyed acrobats performing live as this is something you don’t get to see on a daily basis, especially where we are coming from. So, coming here is more like a family vacation for us all as we get to enjoy the beautiful weather, try delicious and authentic Omani cuisine, and lots of shopping,” said the father of five. He added that group from China and Ethiopia was among their favourites. —madiha@timesofoman.com
