Passenger travelling via Muscat arrested in India with OMR15,000 worth of gold

Customs officers in the Indian capital city of New Delhi have seized 871 grams of gold that entered the country via Muscat.
The gold, worth over OMR15,000, was seized from an Indian passenger travelling from Riyadh to Delhi via Muscat.
The passenger tried concealing the precious metal in an emergency lamp.
"Delhi Customs at Indira Gandhi International Airport seized 871 gms of gold valued 28.18 lakhs from an Indian passenger coming from Riyadh via Muscat on 27.01.19. Gold was concealed in an Emergency light which was being carried by the pax. The pax has been arrested." – Delhi Customs
