Liwa to get one more representative in Majlis

Muscat: Sayyid Hamood bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior has issued Ministerial Decision No. 22/2019 identifying the number of representatives of the Sultanate’s wilayats to the ninth term of Majlis Al Shura.
According to the decision, the number of representatives of the wilayats in Majlis Al Shura stand at 86 members, an increase of one member in the wilayat of Liwa.
The wilayats represented in the Majlis Al Shura by two members each are Muttrah, Al Amirat, Bausher , Seeb, Quriyat, Salalah, Al Buraimi, Nizwa, Bahla, Izki, Sumail, Sohar, Shinas, Liwa, Saham, Al Khaboura, Al Suwaiq, Al Rustaq, Barka, Al Musana’a, Sur, Ja’alan bani Bu Hasan, Ja’alan bani bu Ali, Al Mudhaibi and Ibri.
The wilayats represented by one member each are Muscat, Taqa, Mirbat, Rakhiyout, Thumrait, Dhalkout, Al Mazyouna, Maqshan, Shaleem and Al Halaniyat Islands, Sadah, Khasab, Diba, Bakha, Madha, Mahdha, Al Sinainah, Manah, Al Hamra, Adam, Bidbid,Al Awabi, Nakhal, WAdi Al Ma’awil , Al Kamil Wal Wafi, Masirah, Ibra, Bidiya, Al Qabil, Wadi Bani Khalid, Dima Wal Taein, Yanqul, Dhank, Haima, Mahout, Al Duqm, and Al Jazir.
