Muscat: Book lovers in Oman will be able to meet in person two authors who have written several books on fiction at the first ever “Meet the Authors” programme organised by Dar Al Atta’a as part of their “Let’s Read” initiative.
“The Dar Al Atta’a Let’s Read Programme is delighted to present the first ‘Meet the Authors’ event on Thursday, January 17, at 10.30am at the new Let’s Read Charity Book Shop on the 3rd floor of Oman Avenues Mall,” said Jane Jaffer, the founder of the Let’s Read programme.
“Muscat-based Vaishali Hamlai is a fiction writer who has written about women’s enrichment. She will chat with us about her recent book, ‘Mind Trap’, and read a few lines from it.”
In addition, London-based Roshni Goyate is a poet who recently launched her book entitled “4 Brown Girls who Write” as part of a collective of the same name.
“She will give us an insight into her creative process,” said Jaffer. “All are welcome to come and join the conversation, ask the authors questions, and purchase signed copies. The Let’s Read Book Shop will offer a 50% discount on all previously enjoyed books in the shop to all those who attend.”
