Municipal authorities warn against construction work at these times in Oman

Muscat: Muscat Municipality has issued a warning to contractors violating local rules and regulations related to construction.

The authority said, "It has come to the notice of Muscat Municipality that some contractors are carrying out construction work outside the permitted time violating the existing laws and regulations.

"Therefore, Muscat Municipality would like the contractors to strictly adhere to the rules stipulated in Article 104 of the Local Order No.23/92 concerning the building construction that states: 'Construction work may not be practised between sunset and sunrise unless prior permission is obtained from Muscat Municipality.'

"Muscat Municipality, therefore, requests all contractors to strictly follow the law.Any violation of the law will attract fines and cancellation of the permission given to the contractor to work at the site."
