Muscat: A high-level meeting on economic development and strategic energy cooperation between the United States and partners in the Middle East region was held at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre on Wednesday .
The meeting was sponsored by Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, in the presence of Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council and a number of officials from the GCC countries, Egypt and Jordan.
The meeting discussed ways to develop relations between the United States and its partners in the Middle East in various fields, reaching them to the strategic level in order to achieve interdependence based on the mutual interests and benefits between the economies of these countries and the US economy and enhance security and stability in the region.
