Muscat: Five people have been arrested for ten cases of burglary in Dhofar, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) has said.

The “five Asians” who were arrested by the Department of Criminal Investigation, burgled transmitter booster stations in Dhofar. No further information regarding their country of origin was made available.
A source in the Dhofar governorate police said, “A number of the stations in the governorate received reports of burglary and vandalism by unknown persons.
"In light of this, a team was set up to follow up on these reports. During the search, the suspects were found, arrested and they subsequently admitted to all ten burglaries. The suspects were also found with a number of stolen batteries in their possession."
