Beirut: The new building of the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman was inaugurated in Beirut yesterday under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Asa’ad bin Tariq Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan.

Sayyid Asa’ad bin Tariq Al Said and Saad Al Hariri unveiled the commemorative plaque for the Embassy building which consists of a reception hall, consular section, offices of embassy members, a library and other services, in addition to the residence of the Ambassador and the members of the embassy, which has been built on an area of about 4,000 square metres.
The Ambassador of the Sultanate to the Republic of Lebanon, Badr bin Mohammed Al Mantheri, expressed his happiness and appreciation for the patronage of Sayyid Asa’ad bin Tariq Al Said and Saad Al Hariri, the opening of the Sultanate’s new embassy building in Beirut. He wished the relations between the Sultanate and the Lebanese Republic further development, cooperation under the leadership of the two countries, His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said and Lebanese President General Michel Aoun.
The ceremony was attended by Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, a number of senior officials in the Sultanate and the Lebanese Republic, former presidents in Lebanon, heads of diplomatic missions in Lebanon and a gathering of guests and media men.
The attendees congratulated the Sultanate for the opening of the new embassy building in Beirut and wished it continued progress and prosperity under the wise leadership of His Majesty the Sultan.
