Shot in the arm for Oman Cancer Association drive

Muscat: To support Oman Cancer Association (OCA) in its efforts to raise awareness on the importance of early detection of cancer and regular screening, Takaful Oman Insurance donated OMR2,500.
Sayyida Dr Rawan Ahmed Al Said, CEO of Takaful Oman presented the cheque to Dr Wahid Al Kharusi, OCA president.
“The work of Takaful is very supportive to the community. We are very grateful for their support,” said Al Kharusi.
OCA is the brainchild of a four-time cancer survivor Yuthar Al Rawahy.
She is its founder and honorary life president.
The non-governmental, non-profit charity organisation has been working to create and spread awareness about the deadly disease and also aims to support cancer patients, survivors, their families and the community at large.
