French-Gulf Friendship Group official praises Oman's role

Muscat: Sheikh Dr. Al Khattab bin Ghalib Al Hinai, Deputy Chairman of the State Council yesterday received Senator Jean Marie Boukil, Head of the French-Gulf Friendship Group of French Parliament, currently visiting Oman.
The Deputy Chairman of State Council hailed the strong relations between the Sultanate and the Republic of France and said that he is looking forward for developing cooperation between the two friendly countries in all fields.
Dr. Sheikh Al Hinai gave an overview about the progress of the Shura march in the Sultanate and the role of the State Council in national work within the state of institutions whose foundations were laid by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.
The meeting discussed the parliamentary cooperation, means to enhance, in addition to sharing views on issues of mutual interest.
On his part, Senator Jean Marie Boukil expressed his joy for visiting the Sultanate.
He praised the Sultanate’s leading role in enhancing stability, security and peace in the region and the world.
He also commended its efforts to promote tolerance, co-existence and understanding among the different peoples of the world.
At the end of the visit, Senator Jean Marie Boukil toured the State Council and reviewed its different facilities.
