MUSCAT: Young Rushil Dadwal slammed a superb 98 to help Bowsher Olympic Center to a 36-run win over Indian School Al Seeb (ISAS) in a Junior League game at Oman Cricket grassy ground 2 in Amerat on Saturday.
Rushil was the only batsman who batted with authority as BOC was bowled out for 158 in the 39th over. Sinan Rafi and Arul Kumar claimed three and two wickets respectively. BOC bowlers took charge of the second innings early on, Anubhab Sanyal and Saravana Krishnan taking four and three wickets respectively as ISAS was dismissed for a meagre 118. Aditya top scored with 33 off 29.
Brief scores (Junior League U-19): BOC 158 all out in 38.3 overs (Rushil Dadwal 98 – 11x4, 1x6. Sinan Rafi 3-41, Arul Kumar 2-27) beat ISAS 118 all out in 25.3 overs (Aditya 33 – 6x4. Anubhab Sanyal 4-18, Saravana Krishnan 3-31) by 36 runs.
Aflag Group win
Arnold Lewis smacked 67 while Atif Jalali picked up 4 for 14 to steer Aflag Group to a thrilling 9-run victory against OUA Travels in an Oman Cricket league I Division game at Muscat Municipality ground 4 on Friday.
Aflag Group posted a robust 158 for 9 in 20 overs thanks to brilliant batting by Lewis and Naveed Khan who contributed 27. Theparambil Haneefa and Muhammed Haneef claimed three and two wickets respectively.
OUA Travels fought well but fell short by 9 runs, getting all out for 149 in the 19th over. Raghu Ramakrishnan and Fahad scored 37 and 29 runs respectively. Apart from Atif, Mohammed Arif bowled well too, taking 4 for 31.
Brief scores (OC League, I Division): Aflag Group 158 for 9 in 20 overs (Arnold Lewis 67 – 7x4, Naveed Khan 27 – 2x4. Theparambil Haneefa 3-27, Muhammed Haneef 2-33) beat OUA Travels 149 all out in 18.5 overs (Raghu Ramakrishnan 37 – 4x4, Fahad 29 – 4x4, 1x6. Atif Jalali 4-14, Mohammed Arif 4-31) by 9 runs.
Multi-pumps lose
Mafas Sainulabdeen and Chandana Maddumage starred in Ghantoot Group’s 45 run win against Mulit-pumps Engineering in an I Division match at OAC 3 ground in Seeb.
Ghantoot amassed 181 for 7 in 20 overs thanks to Sainulabdeen’s magnificent 79 of 46 balls and Maddumage’s vital 26. Multi-pumps was then bundled out for a paltry 136 in the penultimate over despite Sudhir Kumar’s fluent 52. Mohammed Rafeek and Maddumage picked up three wickets each.
Brief scores: Ghantoot Group 181 for 7 in 20 overs (Mafas Sainulabdeen 79 – 11x4, Chandana Maddumage 26 – 1x4, 1x6. Vineesh Raj 2-31) defeated Multi-pumps Engineering 136 all out in 18.3 overs (Sudhir Kumar 52 – 6x4. Mohammed Rafeek 3-27, Chandana Maddumage 3-27) by 45 runs.
